(no subject)
For the record, Microbiology is NOT for the faint of heart or squeamish. (If you are such a person, slowly back away from this paragraph nice and slow.) First of all, I had some WEIRD ass cooties come through the lab today. The worst case being an elderly person who has THREE gram negative rods in a suprapubic aspirate!! (You don't need to know what all that means... just be aware that this is VERY VERY BAD!!!) Also, if you don't know shit, don't go into micro: you have to work with stool samples. Didn't see any worms but that's good. Not only is it good for the community, but it's good for the hospital to not have a scream lab technician streaking through the halls. Oh, and for you medical geeks, yes, microbiologists DO streak!
Went to AC Moore. Wanted markers and a picture frame. The markers I wanted were not at the store. How weird that they don't carry the Bic brand of markers. Anyway, I did get a nice frame for my octopus eating a donut print. :D I also got a pad of bristol board (think card stock, not real board), a case for my paint brushes since I have some nice ones now, a thing for Foxonians gift, and probably some other piddly stuff. Oh, and Coonwulf, you may want to sit down for this: I did NOT buy any Hello Kitty stuff. Yes, I am feeling ok. Just don't have all that much $$ to play with at this time.

Can you tell I didn't sleep worth a crap and have had a lot of sugar?! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Oh, and I belong to the AnthroCon LJ Community. Some of the recent posts (of the MANY recent posts) have been really cool. I enjoy seeing pictures of the event as well as noticing that artists really take finding their missing clients seriously. Those guys/gals from the Artist's Alley have been posting trying to find someone who left without their badge... and they're doing these posts even though they have been PAID! (You have to place the order with the artist, pay at the desk, and take proof of the payment back to the artist so they'll know to work on your commission.) Isn't that the coolest?!

Lastly, on my way to AC Moore, I drove past a comic shop in Hanover! WOOT! Will go on a hunting expedition once I get some more $$. Am going to try selling some of my ATCs on eBay later this week. :) Scha-weet!
