Yes, I know... where the hell has Rain been lately??
Let's see. The weird food dish turned out well... but it makes enough to feed a friggin' army!
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 can of cream of celery soup
some chicken
some celery
egg noodles
bread crumbs
cheeses of your choice in crumb form (I used Parmesan and Romano)
Heat soups with celery pieces and some water in microwave. Make noodles according to package instructions. Next, heat chicken in microwave. When noodles are done - mix. Put in a bowl and top with cheeses and bread crumbs. You could probably put it in the oven to brown the cheeses and crumbs but I'm no chef so I didn't. Eat. Makes enough to feed everyone on your block.
Yesterday, I invidted arthurpod (my bro)over to help me finish off the casserole. We talked for a long time. It was great as he stayed long enough so I could wash the dishes that had been sitting since oh I don't know, the Spanish Inquisition. (If anyone thinks of a Monty Python skit now... yes, you are my true friend!) Then foxonian called and I was on the phone with him. By the time I watched some TV, I was pooped so I just went to bed. I'm sorry... but otherwise, you would have been reading stuff like this: alksjdfowhekadsg jads;ofa.
Today, I got to work and was busy all day. That was great. I hate not having anything to do. Also, I went to the post office and mailed out a ton of stuff for the Holiday Wishes folks. :-D I have mailed out so much junk... I wish this went year round! Just mailing little things here and there. One person already received her gift from me and she was all giggly in her email this afternoon.:-) That's the whole reason I do this - to make others smile. The fact that I get rid of some of my clutter is just a bonus. I've done a lot so far - around 11. I have a few MP3 CDs to make.... and maybe mail this knitter/crocheter some old back issues of magazines. :-)
Oh, before I forget... being a part of the Holiday-Wishes community means I get TONS of friends posts per day. If I don't respond to your journal on something, please don't take it personally. I have a lot of posts to read. If you need me - email me at rainoubliette at gmail dot com. I read my email before I get to LJ. :-) I hope that you all don't mind.
I have to work at the Open House for the York Campus tomorrow. I'm really excited about it. They are usually pretty fun and time goes quickly. I have to work the slow entrance though. One of my co-workers is sick. I need to make her a get well card. After work, I have supper with Barb and then to art club. I don't know what I'll be working on at retreat: comics? Quilt? Carve a rubber stamp? Sigh. The possibilities are amazing.
Well, I need to get to bed soon. Gotta get up and actually do something tomorrow. Ha ha.
