Went to class. Had to drive Dad's van. Ugh.

The low-down on my MD appointment with the new doctor! We talked about the Effexor and decided to leave it as is. I'm doing well on it and no side effects - which she even asked me about!! I told her about the Poly Cystic diagnosis and how I wanted to get a blood test on the glucose level to see where I stand in relation to diabetes and all the crap associated with the PCOS. She said, OK and gave me a sheet. I mentioned the problem in my leg (the bruising and the pain) and she said that she wants a FULL set of blood tests - which includes platelets. We shall see. I made an appointment for Dec. (routine maintenance)... she said if anything weird shows up on the tests, she will call me as soon as she finds out. I like her. She's on the ball, hyper but REALLY into her patients. She said my BP and everything looked good. I had lost a pound (I'm swelling due to my monthly friend so I've probably lost more than that) so that helped perk me up some. (Oh, and her scale weighed me at 283... so maybe I do weigh that much BUT if that is the case, then I've lost 5 +/- pounds since my OBGYN exam in September! No small feat thanks to my insane hormones!!)

Once I got home, I did some homework - blood bank exam tomorrow - and goofed off.

My uncle Carl called to talk to Dad. Evidently, my cousin was shipped off to Iraq AGAIN! He's an HVAC guy in the military - Air Force, I think. Anyway, Carl's all weirded out. I don't blame him. It's sad that this one has to go overseas... he has a "Brady Bunch" at home. He has two sons... his wife has two daughters... they got married and had a boy and a girl.... 6 freakin' kids! ARGH!

I won a patch on eBay... it's a police badge from my hometown of Hurricane, WV. Why it is named Hurricane, I don't know. WV is a landlocked state! They don't get Hurricanes like NC or SC or FL. Weird. But it explains a lot about me, doesn't it!? MWA-HA-HA-HA!

And I'm done! All before 11:00! Gotta go to bed! Big day tomorrow!
