Did I tell you that I also watched Howl's Moving Castle in which Christian Bale (double-swoon) was the voice of Howl? Well, at least Tammy agrees with me this time but his voice, is to die for. If I could just have that voice for my alarm clock I probably wouldn't have half as much trouble waking up each morning as I do now. (I woke up literally at 11:30 am today. I have never slept in this late. Nor have I ever slept this much! 11 hours is unheard of in this household.) Well, that was probably the hottest voice-over I've heard in an animated movie yet. The animation was adorable though, as much as I carp about anime and the likes of the stuff. The background scenes were gorgeous and I watched the movie 3 times within 24 hours because I loved Howl's voice so much.
What fascinated me so much was how I didn't know it was Christian Bale's voice over until after I saw the movie 3 times. Dad somehow got the thoroughly Japanese version of the DVD and there was no hint of English anywhere outside of the voices. As a matter of fact, it was by Luck's graceful dealings that we managed to even get to the English version of the movie because all of the options were in only Japanese, even the title! I couldn't even find the title in English until I found "Howl" between some search results in Google.
