Woke up with a ten page Russian Literature Midterm to write and two days to write it in. Naturally, I put it off for a few hours making breakfast and dicking around on the internet.
Breakfast was scrambled eggs with green onions, avocado, sharp cheddar cheese, and pico de gallo sauce. It was sort of an experiment, but it turned out beautifully. Think I'll add some bacon next time. Am currently pouring through the Memoirs of Catherine the Great trying to find out her opinions on child rearing. As Catherine the Great was a surprisingly boring lady, this is less fun than it sounds.
Writing, shockingly, is proceeding at a fairly good clip. (Not my midterm.) Current chapter's pushing 9 k at the moment, and ordinarily I would see this as a sign to split it into pieces, but, um, I can't. So I suppose we'll be looking at something around 15 k before I find a good stopping point. My protagonists are not going to be happy with me, but screw them.
