New art stuff and a wish for you all...
Yesterday was wonderful. The boy and I went out to a used bookstore to find "new" art journals for jademondin and myself. I wanted one that definitely looked old and had lots of character. He has an amazing eye. He found two of them, similar in size, although mine is thicker. This bookstore was jammed full of old books (and smelled like it too!). He found one of them shoved up in the ceiling beams (which they use for displays if you remember to look up there - I don't) and the other in a shelf that I was JUST looking at. Heh, I must have been sleepwalking again. I would post pics, but then it wouldn't be a surprise for my friend when she sees it here.
I made a quick stop at the art store to unload a gift certificate that has been burning a hole in my pocket for a year now. I came out of there with some new pebeo paints to play with (again, found by the boy FIRST...how does he do that???) and something that I will blame skyorange for: a new set of Staedtler Triplus Fineliner markers. I'm excited about those. I've eyed them before but didn't pick them up unless I could see evidence that someone used it in a particularly brilliant way. Well, Miss SkyOrange showed me the light. I now have a set in a cool package. Don't you just love cool packaging?
Also picked up a little something for someone who's birthday is coming up...hmmm...wonder who that could be? I hope she likes it.
Okay, and finally...my wish for everyone today since the sun is shining brightly in my corner of the world:
