FINALLY!
I've had spyware on my school laptop since the 17th, and I think I've finally gotten the last of it off! I had XP Police Antivirus and Spyware Protect 2009, both of which pretended to be legit anti-spyware and liked to pop up and generally be annoying. I got rid of that on... the 19th, I think? But my Internet was still slow (couldn't log on to websites, Youtube videos wouldn't load most of the time...) and links on Google and Yahoo would redirect to other sites. After days of trying to find the source, it was apparently a Trojan; I used RootkitRevealer to find it and avenger (linked to the software itself because I don't know its website) to make it GTFO. I would've used an anti-spyware program in the first place, but none of the ones I downloaded would work when I clicked on the .exe. :|
