fanfic: Blackout 1-15/?
Okay. This was my second fanfic for The Good Wife and it's basically centered around Diane Lockhart--who else, right? The origin of this fanfic was really the first chapter. I always liked watching Will and Diane fight and it took days until I finally found the courage to write the first scene--them fighting, of course, but it wasn't just that. The image of the subsequent...er, attack that takes place in the same chapter was also something I couldn't get out of my head so...I thought, why not combine the two?
It would have been easier to just write two separate stories, a couple of one shots, but I guess wasn't thinking that far ahead at the time so I wrote the first chapter...then the second...then the third until somehow, it's turned into this massive thing that people barely care about.
Truth is, it's become a monster...and sometimes I do wish I never started this in the first place, but...it's here. What can I do? I'd stop writing it--I want to, really--but it's not possible. I promised I'd finish this and the little number of people reading it seem to like it so...yeah, this story will need to be finished, have an ending.
With a slew of original characters blended with the show's original set, I'm hoping I'll be able to continue writing this in a way that won't make people regret ever reading it in the first place.
This story doesn't garner many readers, but the few I have? They're terrific and the rest of the story really needs to be told.
I'm not promising anything spectacular...just what I can offer. Yes, it's not much, but this is mine and this is all I can give. If you're reading then I wish you luck because this really is all I have.
