Guuuh. Today was... Quite sucky.
I had been at work for 2 hours, and randomly, my manager decided to, in front of another employee AND on the public shop-floor, to tell me I needed to buy a can of deodorant. He then proceeded to try and tell me, whilst still in public, that he had had 'complaints left, right and centre' about BO. Except... I wasn't aware that I was smelling of anything but the deodorant I made sure to put on two hours before.
I make a point to, you know, try to be clean for work and stuff, precisely BECAUSE I don't want customers scared off by smell and grottiness. His decision to do this in front of another employee, AND to tell me about supposed complaints /in public/, however, make me question things. Suffice to say, I was fairly sour after that. His telling me 'not to be negative on him' and that he was 'on my side and trying to help' were hardly any amount of solace. I don't know how I managed to keep from biting his head off, either. How I survived the remaining 7 hours at work was beyond me.
