The yellow audi is in the shop for a bunch of badly needed deferred maintenance items. I'm trying a new shop this time around since I found one more convenient to work, but as with all auto-repair places it seems they have no idea that people want to know what the repair progress is moment by moment. I had to call them earlier this afternoon to get an update and now it's five and I still haven't heard back from them. Grr...

Actually it's much the same in my line of work. When the server or network is down people simply don't care that every call for status takes time that you could be using to fix the problem.
