 Life has been busy, which means life needs distractions, which means I have seen an amazing number of movies lately.  Which is awesome, because before two weeks ago I think the last time we went to the theater was February.

My brother and I did pay to see Skyline in theaters. We thought we were going to get something like ID4 from a civilian POV. HAH. I immediately had to write a World War Z style fic in the 'verse when I got home just to clear the sheer !!!!! out of my brain. Battle: Los Angeles did a much, much better job of making you care about the characters and the outcome with their boots-on-the-ground alien invasion plotline.

Lol, I'm reading your comment and my husband and brother are re-watching Battle for LA in the living room.

When I perk up to mention your comment Kyle turns around and says: HELL yes.

So: the family totally agrees. Battle for LA >>> Skyline. Also: did you post the World War Z fic? :D

Totally did. It's not actual World War Z, just kind of in that "introduction to a book of stories from the apocalypse" style:
