How much do I love the fact that I am done exams? Let me count the ways ...
And not only am I DONE but I PASSED!
Yes, I'm still giddy about that. No, I'm not sorry for it. I never ever ever want to write that exam again.
*dances* And I won't have to!
I can now take the puppy for a walk and gleefully plan out my Dresden fic without worry about things I should be looking up, or the exact numbers of the oral glucose tolerance test. I pulled Dead Space out of its dusty box on the weekend and gleefully killed aliens all afternoon. I ran through another chapter last night and revisited the horrors of the mining deck.
I LOVE being a grownup. The last time I played this game - almost two years ago now - I was staying at Kyle's basement apartment and using his tiny old tv. I remember hating the holographic menu because I COULDN'T READ IT.
But now I open the menu and I find myself stunned by how absolutely gorgeous it is! For such a scary blood-splattered game its really very pretty.
Kyle's just beaten through Darksiders and it also looks like a lot of fun. It's like Link grew up and became a Horseman. There's even a slingshot! And a boomerang! They just give the weapons more fancy names. Part two is in the making we hear, and it sounds like your Death that time. The previews look like fun.
He got Batman's Arkam Asylum for his birthday this year. I'm hoping he'll play that one next and leave me Dead Space 2. I want to finally finish part one (I had to leave to head back to K-town before beating the final chapter two years ago) and move on to part two.
In other news: jedibuttercup is the awesomest and offered to grammar-beta my Dresden fic for me! I've now got the first five chapters done and actually legible. I think I'll post them here as a WIP and then throw the whole thing onto AO3 when its done.
I'll have to sign up to dresdenslash then. It's kinda moved beyond flashflc. I was going to lay this out as a prompt originally, and then decided to fill it myself. I don't think that counts ;)
Before I post though I need to think of a name. Hmmm. That's always one of the hardest things to do. Gonna wait for some inspiration. Or, you know, good suggestions ;)
Off to tackle my Wednesday! The Hospitalist thing is working out good. I hope this is a preview to life come July.
