how I miss my lj

So I'm officially an lj/on-line addict.

Last week on the camping trip I brought along an old diary, just because I wanted *something* to write in.  But I never wrote a thing.  Not because my thoughts were lacking (I was almost-alone in the wide-open beautiful Northern Ontario - hell no), but I never took the *time* to write.  I've gotten addicted to lj.  My typing is just so much *faster* than my writing (and so much more legible) that I've gotten hooked to the quickness/easiness of the internet.

*sigh*

The problem - of course - being that I can't take the internet everywhere.  Certainly not to the two-days-in-the-middle-of-nowhere-wilderness.  Drat.

Tomorrow is the Grade 11 trip - I have to admit, I love being a chaperone.  Everyone calls me "Miss" and yet I'm not a real teacher: I'm halfway between being responsible, which means I can ditch the group often enough to regain my sanity.  Because come on - grade *elevens*.  /gah

In other news: thinking about applying to that "No Stone Left Unturned" challenge.  Its Canadian, and it looks like fun even to apply.  With my funny-sounding voice (I've a lisp) I doubt I'll be chosen for tv, but it'd be fun to apply.

Also trying to convince my parents to let me travel to Italy with Alison in August for a biking/cheap/hostel journey.  I'm psyched, but I have to convince them with charts of expenses.  *fingers crossed*
