I cannot stand living in this apartment one minute longer. Ugh! Not only do I have mice and giant waterbugs that jump at me in the shower, but now there are roaches in the kitchen, and half the stuff in this building doesn't work (door knobs, water pipes, electrical outlets...). For the prices people here are paying, the motherfucking landlord should at least make sure the doors in the building function. Gah! My rent is almost psychotically cheap (although twice what I was paying in MO), but I'm not sure it's worth it. Meh...

How on earth does one find a new place that's reasonable enough to survive the rent in Manhattan?

Fuck it. I'm moving to Staten Island.
