Post-Fanime Update - Prelude to Raider3: Act II
Fanime is over - I had some fun moments, met up with some friends. (I didn't get to meet up with a few, but I'm hoping to meet up with them very, very soon.)
I accomplished some things that took a lot of courage, and did some things I didn't think I was able to do. I'm gradually taking small steps into a new evolution, and a new direction. Some may not like where I'm headed, but the few I've talked to have been very accepting. Change is a major constant force in my life.
Unfortunately, the day after Fanime was also the last day for me on the job I've held for over 13 years. The shock has started to hit me, and coupled with post-con depression, I'm not really in a good place right now. I'm trying to carry on, keep all avenues of communication open, and taking each day one at a time, always having some sort of agenda, and having a reason to look forward to each new day. I will keep going and surviving until I return to the workforce, and rebuild and forge a new path in my life. Some things will change, hopefully for the better. All I can do is continue to hope that things will be better than they were before.
Stay tuned, as I will be a bit more active, online and offline. I want to build up my networks of friends and support. It's time for me to get back to what's important to me, and to be more true to myself.
For now, it's time to take a step back, rest up, and refocus for the road ahead...
