Seriously, I was thinking about this the other night and it kept me up until like 3am.
Trying to figure out the sexual/romantic orientations of my characters. There are SO MANY. I feel incredibly lame for even doing this, but since it kept me up so late thinking about it, I might as well right it down...
Jay: Jay is mostly straight, maybe Kinsey 2? It's not impossible for him to be attracted to a guy, just not likely. There were times when Mai was suddenly changed into a guy, and he didn't seem to have any problems with that...
True: True is like one of the only REALLY straight characters I have. Of course it just figures he married a girl who was pretty much a butch lesbian.
Carmine: Carmine is homosexual, or perhaps a Kinsey 5.5 on the sexuality scale. Luckily for his wife, he's biromantic.
Pentel: Definitely panromantic, although so far he's only fallen for girls. He's demisexual - which in this case I take to mean, he's generally not sexually attracted to people or interested in sex, but when he's in a loving/committed relationship with someone, he's capable of sexual feelings (is this the general description of demisexual?)
Shinto: She is actually straight, surprisingly. I think that if she were to date a girl, she'd be even meaner than she is to the guy she is dating...
Clay: Clay is asexual. Now, he didn't really have a concept of romantic love, so I'm not going to say that he has a romantic relationship, although he did fall in love with a woman.
Rosa: She's asexual (chemically rendered that way through experiments). Almost aromantic except for the exception of Ink, but I'm not entirely sure her romantic attraction is the same as regular romantic attraction? Does this make sense to anyone but me?!
Pyry: Ahahaha Pyry. He's bi. He's fallen in love with one person, a girl (actually, the Ink mentioned above), but it was largely unrequited, then it was sort of requited, then she broke it off with him and he killed himself. Ahem.
Enre: yes I am grouping her in with my roleplay characters. She's a lesbian on both counts.
Verus/Vered: She is actually straight, but she's kinda young/innocent so I don't think she's developed sexual feelings.
Lykaio: homosexual and homoromantic, before she lost her memories. She's still technically both, just more guarded about everything.
Moranna: (Pyry's twin sister) She's a lesbian, much to her mother's chagrin.
Kiffy: (Pyry and Mora's younger...sibling). Kiffy is FTM, but prefers female pronouns when she is NOT dressing as male. She's still young and hasn't gotten to the point where she's thought of transitioning. I would say that she is probably panromantic? But she's developed (secret) feelings for her older brother so she doesn't get to express that much. Demisexual (in that, she would have sex to make her partner happy, but isn't generally interested in it).
Sky: He is most nicely gay.
Trev: Probably bisexual, but mostly interested in men. He's polyamorous.
Taka: He's gay, borderline poly too (in a poly relationship, but probably wouldn't seek one out if he wasn't already)
Laurent: I'd say gay, though maybe like a Kinsey 5.9? I would say he's poly, but that kind of implies a romantic orientation, which I don't think he has. He does harbor some romantic feelings for Taka and Trev, but it's generally not something he's into.
Trisha: She's straight. When the roleplay left off, she was in a relationship with another woman, but I think she's only comfortable in such if the other person takes on a masculine role.
Asa: She's straight, but she distrusts men so she would never date one. When the roleplay left off, we were setting her up to be in a relationship with a woman. She's asexual.
Alan: She's straight, as of yet she's too young to consider sexual feelings.
Akira: (Jay and Alan's father) I'd say he's bisexual/biromantic but that he hasn't really realized it (or if he has, isn't making a fuss over it). He's married to a woman.
Midori: (Jay and Alan's mother) She's straight, I would say. I think she would be more likely to be jealous of another woman than have feelings for her.
Hart and Lumo: I'm lumping them in because they're brothers. They're aliens whose entire race is asexual. They also don't have romantic affiliations (although they are interested in studying the phenomenon!)
Jean: (Hart and Lumo's "father") Asexual, as he's technically the same race as Hard and Lumo, but due to his complicated backstory he doesn't know that. Has been known to harbor heteroromantic feelings, but in a kind of religiously obsessive way (so he was more in Holy Love with her than Romantic Love)
Kazor: Heteroromantic, has been known to dabble bisexually (for personal gain). After he falls in love with Ripple, he's pretty much devoted just to her (and he stops being a murdering psychopath)
Xillia: because she exists in the universe, even though she couldn't be introduced before it ended! She's a lesbian.
Mahogany: He showed up once, and then I think he got killed. He's homosexual, and also kind of a bastard.
Troko: He's straight
Tiara: She's straight, also homophobic because she comes from the past (she was cryogenically frozen). Too bad for her all her kids are turning out gay.
Pyro: I believe he's going to turn out asexual. He's a bit young for me to think he's figured a romantic orientation, but he was in some cute childhood love with a girl.
Reci: She's hetero, though she's swung both ways before when she was a prostitute.
Ipe: Generally straight, possibly like Jay's situation he's a Kinsey 1.5? But he's married to Reci, so nothing will come of it anyway.
Morse: Even though she dresses very skankily, I think she's asexual. We might have been setting her up to have a boyfriend, but I think she's probably aromantic too (although in this case, it's due to not being able to get close enough to anyone for romantic feelings)
Moltov: I haven't thought of her in a long time, but for a one-off villain (mostly), she was fairly well developed. Asexual. I believe the case was that she was artificially created, thus she has a sort of built-in love for her creator that confuses her. Also had some sort of romantic feelings for her partner-in-assassination, but she never expressed them.
Actually, I think I AM going to sleep now, because just from the roleplay there are so many characters (though I probably even left some out, it's been a while). Other universes will have to wait for other days.
