"Baseball idiot. What the fuck is that?"

Yamamoto blinked, looking up from where he had been sharing around his bento full of sushi and grinned at the bomber. "What's what, Gokudera?" He asked innocently as he placed the lunch box down in between the four of them - Tsuna, Gokudera, Ryohei and himself - and dropped a piece of the California Roll into his mouth. Though the baseball player gave no initial reaction, he laughed at Tsuna's look of distress and shock as the Italian all but shoved his hand down the front of Yamamoto's shirt. Within moments, it resurfaced, fingers clenched around two chains - one silver, the thick chain of his beloved Vongola Rain ring, and one gold, thin yet strong and reflective.

"What the fuck is this?" Gokudera repeated with more emphasis on the object in question, opening out his hands to reveal a small crown, big enough to encircle the tip of his pinky finger, but too small to be worn as a ring. The Storm Guardian growled lightly as the Rain Guardian just laughed again and slid the necklace back down his shirt with a grin.

"It was a Christmas present," He said happily, slipping another piece of sushi into his mouth with one hand while pulling out his cellphone with the other. As he flipped it open, he was oblivious to the wide-eyed stares he was receiving from his three friends while he replied to the text message, grinning slightly at whatever was written on the screen before he snapped it closed again. He gave a laugh at the expressions all his friends were wearing and inquired, "What's wrong with you guys?"

"Th-That extreme phone..." The boxer seemed too shocked to be loud or informative, just staring at his fellow Guardian.

"Yamamoto..." The baseball player turned his attention to Tsuna, who was looking at him with worried eyes. "You didn't... steal that, did you? I mean... No offense, but your dad could never afford that on what he earns, and I doubt anyone else in your family could either." For some reason, Tsuna felt a wave of surprise crash on him in time with Yamamoto's loud laugh and the arm crashing down over his shoulders.

"It was a present," He said with a laugh and a grin, though he stopped adruptly as he felt a hand digging though his pockets. "Gokudera, what are you doing?" He found himself biting down on his lower lip, his cheeks tinted a light red as the hand searching awkwardly in his pocket brushed against the one place it shouldn't - though the Italian didn't seem to notice at all - and was glad that the hand left shortly after. Fighting down the light blush - that shouldn't have been there anyway - he examined the item that the bomber had pulled out of his pocket.

And laughed.

Loudly.

"I completely forgot to give that back to him," Yamamoto said without thinking, reaching out to grab the cellphone battery. His grin faltered slightly as the item was jerked back out of his reach, accompanied by an inquiry of, 'Who?' The baseball player cast a slightly worried glance at Tsuna, who shook his head slightly, both of them aware that Gokudera had noticed the act.

"What are you two keeping so silent about? Tenth, can't you tell me?"

"I-I'm sorry... Gokudera-kun." Tsuna knew all to well that if he provided that information, Namimori would no longer be standing.

As the Storm Guardian continued to try and pry an answer from his - future - boss, Yamamoto flipped open his phone at the sound of his ringtone. "Moshi moshi," He said happily - just like normal. The voice on the other end made him grin.

"Hello, Teddy Bear."

"Ahahaha. Prince. We were just talking about you."

A slight pause. "Who's 'we'?"

Yamamoto laughed again, standing up to stand on the edge of the roof he and his friends were having lunch on. "Just me and Gokudera and Tsuna."

"Of course. Well, you are aware that you still have the battery for my cellphone, aren't you, Teddy Bear?"

After nodding, it took the Rain Guardian a few minutes to realize that Belphegor couldn't see him and verbalized his answer. "Yup. I've got it with me," He paused to laugh. "Or, rather, Gokudera has it. He was rummaging through my pockets."

"I see," Unseen eyes narrowed at the prospect of someone else touching his Teddy Bear.

"...Hang on," Yamamoto blinked, staring out over the school. "If I have the battery for your cellphone, how are you calling me?"

There was a long silence, and, when the reply finally came, the tone was a mix of many things - disappointment, annoyance and - oho - embarrassment?

"...Payphone."
