We're bringing it back!
My roommate has been such a nappyhead this week. This is unfortunate because I have a tendency to make a grand (read: clumsy and clattery) entrance, waking her as a surprise to the both of us.
As you can see from the above anecdote, my life has been snoozetown lately. My days are spent in class, my nights are spent painting for hours upon hours because my art classes have been piling the projects on, hardcore
Good news items include:
- My bike doesn't have a flat tire, and I rode it all over hill and dale this weekend.
- My projects are turning out very nicely
- I got a hundo combo on my humanities midterm, a note of "superb", and one of my answers was cited as a "correct" way to answer a short essay question in the helpful handout our professor gave out
- the bricks t-shirts came, and my design looks really nice
- radio club is more enjoyable than its been, lots of nice new people sharing musical tastes
Unfortunate News Items include:
- I'm pretty sick of working at the theater right now, or rather, I'm sick of commuting (almost) every weekend. I'm trying to limit the weekends I work, but its proving more difficult. I'm definitely working there over the summer because it will work well in conjunction with taking a class at COM. I enjoy it mostly, especially since I spend most of my time threading movies away from horrible costumers and awkward conversations with co-workers. But I still feel incompetent most of the time, because I'm not doing a very good job managing. I attribute this mostly to the fact that I was not trained in the same manner as other assistant managers, but was promoted and I still haven't been fully trained in the requirements of the job. So all of the responsibility, none of the competence.
-I'm waay out of shape, as riding my bike around has taught me. Weemp womp.
- A series of intense dreams has brought about a realization, and not a pleasant one
- I still haven't done my taxes
- My cell phone charger is increasingly a broke-down palace of broken dreams, making it harder to receive calls
