Disney: Lazy or Clever?

I personally think it's clever, since I've watched these movies dozens of times myself, and never noticed!

Disney reuses a lot of stuff, from backgrounds to characters. They used to do it to save time back when everything was hand drawn, and it would take forever to do stuff. For example, the dogs in 101 Dalmatians fight the same "bad dog" gang as the Lady and the Tramp. Backgrounds from Little Mermaid were taken from the Rescuers. It was common in animation in the old days. Looney Toons did it a lot:



and He-man and She-Ra do this pose an awful lot. It's pretty funny to go read about.
