So I'm at the gym on the treadclimber, which is unfortunately parked right in front of the TV with CNN. Blah blah, McCain-Palin rally at a NASCAR track (heh) with country singer changing the lyrics to a song for the rally that used to refer to getting high (heh) and lots of people pissed off at Obama fraternizing with terrorists. Great... Then I see this redneck asshole with a sign that says something about "Hussein Obama."
Fucking morons, I can't stand how much hate there is. It was on the news the other night about a billboard somewhere nearby that says Hussein Obama wants to murder your unborn babies, or something to that extent. And then there was that post Louisa had about the "Half-breed muslin." The meaning is obvious in spite of the spelling error.
One- Just because his father was Muslim, doesn't mean he is. He was raised by his mother, as a Christian
Two- Why does it matter?
It's a sad sign of the times that it is his link to Islam, rather than his half African heritage, that people are making hateful statements about.
Since when did it become okay to hate Muslims? 9/11? Do people honestly believe that just because a bunch of deranged extremists attacked our country, that means every Muslim is evil? Retards, Islam grew out of Christianity, just like Christianity grew out of Judaism. They pray to the same God, believe in many of the same stories, even though some of their traditions are different. It's suppose to be a peaceful belief system. You can't judge people just because of their religion. It isn't their religion, race, color, ethnic background, or political views that make a person bad. Fuckers, we live in a country of so many different types of people, and it is just seriously pissing me off that people are so hateful and judgmental.
