Good times.

Ever have one of those weekends you just felt satisfied with and went back to work on Monday a happy person?

I haven't updated in a while and quite honestly, there hasn't been much to tell. More training, more training, class, work, training--in other words enough Fire Dept crap that I was all but burned out of the whole thing. No free time and all that.

But then this weekend was the exact opposite. Friday night I hung with coworkers and saw Joe for a few hours. Then on Saturday I stayed near home, took care of the reading and work for my book report due today. I talked to Tammy (Wahl's wife) for a bit and was reminded I Adam & Elijah have a birthday coming up and I'd better be there!

Sunday was read the rest of the book, then cleaned and cleaned. Got the TrailDuster and the Stealth to start and run for a while. Cleaned out a bunch of the garage.

Then James called. I haven't talked to him much in quite a while, haven't seen him in even longer. He became a father early Friday morning! We met for a few hours of his "downtime" when he left the hospital for mom to rest up. It was amazing to talk to a good friend after soooo long. Of course, I had to re-hash a lot of things....the "big fire", grandpa's passing, the demise of Tegan & I, and other such things but it was so nice to just have a good friend again. God, it's been a while.

I came home and that evening wrapped up the reading and wrote the book report. I also secured a pair of tickets to the Twins home opener for my dad and I. That's Tuesday, class tonight, PFD on Wed, and Haz-Mat test on Thurs. So back to busy but the break on Tuesday will be great!

Moral of the story? I'm not sure there is one, but boy it's nice to have good people in your life and you should never lose sight of them.
