No, You probably don't know what I'm talking about. Don't worry about it.

...you know? This has been annoying me enough. So rather than be a nuisance about how angry I am on someone else's behalf, I guess I should go ahead and vent.

Apologies to anyone whom I like who's too fond of the admitted astronomical genius, but people who are too fond of Galileo tend to have a terribly misplaced sense of what constitutes martyrdom. No wonder some of them seem to find nails in their hands/wrists so easy.
Y'know what, person I'm thinking of? Galileo would have had fewer problems if he'd had the same ideas but been less of an asshole to people. And so would you.

I know it's easy to be a paranoid little bitch, and I know it hurts to suddenly realize you're not worth somebody's time. Speaking as the girl who's spent many years in mortal terror that she's one of those people about whom people say 'oh...yeah...Kate. She's...she's a nice person, but..I mean, really," I can totally understand that it hurts that people you're interested in aren't interested in you/ no longer are.

But you know what? Trying to get them back through sheer 'you owe it to me to at least talk to me,' is somewhere between Junior High Girl and Emotionally Abusive Ex Boyfriend in terms of class or effectiveness. It just makes everyone even remotely knowledgeable of the occasion want to beat you to a pulp.

Thank you, and have a good day.
