Might have beens
The mildly annoying thing about going through all that old Elfquest stuff was, I got an idea for a story, which would be absolutely impossible to write due to the impossibility of getting character permissions at this late date. It's not just that I've fallen out of touch with the people involved; some of them left the project in a huff long before I did, and others... well, let's just say some of them were difficult to work with. And this would be a story guaranteed to set them off. That was the overarching problem with the Tower, alas; too many people (and I don't entirely exclude myself) over-identified with their characters, and you could never write non-evil characters being at odds with each other without someone taking it personally.
