I actually have five thousand words of POM chapter 13 written. :is stunned: They're five thousand crappy first draft words, but they're THERE.
There is a particular disappointment in reading a fic summary which looks as if it is tailor-made for you, and then finding that the characters are so OOC that it doesn't matter how well it caters to your id. It's funny. Spike is my favorite character, but I am much, much fussier about Buffy's characterization. I ship them like there's no tomorrow, but there is no way to get me to backbutton faster than having Buffy go into a big lectury speech about how much more awesome than Angel Spike is. Even though I do in fact think Spike is awesome. Sigh.
