Oct 21, 2009 22:01

During my New Zealand adventure a few weeks ago, I took about 3,000 photos. Sorting and resizing them all is getting crazy, so I'm going to cut them into two batches: birds, and everything else.

Wow, amazing pics! I wanted to show my BF (he's from Tasmania), but it's F-locked, so I'll have to wait til he gets home. I shared the video of the Tui! So freaky! You can't teach him what to say unless you want him to sound just like you! That bird is better than parrots at mimicking :D

Beautiful photos, thank you for taking the time to share!

Thank you! Isn't that tui amazing? It's hard to believe it's not coming from an actual human. This raven also mimics a human perfectly, but doesn't seem to have the vocabulary that WoofWoof the tui does.

Also, I unlocked the post.

Eee! I know there's gonna be a bajillion things I have to comment on so I'm starting now at the top.

I've always thought the Indian Mynas looked like bandits. We don't get them where I live (...yet) so even though they're a big pest in Sydney, they're sort of exotic for me.

White faced heron! <333 I love these guys ( ... )

Beautiful, just beautiful. I had some comments on some of the pics and I was going to macro some to send to you for amusement but there were so many pics that I lost my umpf to do it. :P

I'd watch out for that penguin if I were you, he looked like he was gonna come out and cut you. ;) And that kiwi was definitely a daywalker.
