Post B-Day fun
My friend Kat wanted to do something for my birthday, but I usually spend the actual day with my family. So she decided that she'd kidnap me today. We decided to go to Toronto, so the first step was to meet up at the Burlington GO Station. My bus, as usual was 5 minutes late. This normally would not have been a problem, but very recently (Sept. 4), the changed the end of the line from Burlington GO, to Aldershot, so the train was only there for a minute or so, and we just missed it and had to wait an hour for the next one.
After we finally got there, we headed for China Town to this cosplay store there. The girl who was at the shop was very nice and helped Kat go through many costumes. They were all messed up though, because even though they said they were Large, the costumes were clearly very small. Kat tried on a lot of costumes before finding that an Urahara costume fit well and came with the hat and everything. I tried on a Gaara costume, which fit great and was a very good price, so I got that ^^;
After that, we headed for Anime Extreme to possibly get some manga. Kat wore her new costume the whole time, but mine was a bit too hot to wear just now. We found a moogle plush that Kat wanted, but decided against, saying that the next Final Fantasy plush she get will be Marshie's chocobo. But while we were there, I picked up Bleach 19 and Gravitation EX 1.
The next thing we did was find a Bubble Tea shop. The first one was found, was very, very gross looking so we left and found another one just down the road. I tried a new kind (well, new to me anyway). Orange Ice Crush. It was so very good, but it took me a long time to finish it. I had to go very slow to avoid brain freeze ^^;
We then headed to Silver Snail, which was very uneventful and boring. So we left and headed back to Union, and then back home. On the train ride home, Kat made me promise not to get Bleach 20 because she wants to get me something for my birthday, even if it's a day or two late ^^;
