Well, I applied for dispatch job in Denali nat park. I had my first phone interview 2 days ago and I expect my final interview sometime in late December or early January. So, hopefully Gary and I will be joining Pat, Sambo, and JJ when they return to Alaska in the spring.
I've decided not to take my car. I think it'll be better if I leave it with the fam and take myself off the insurance. I've also arranged to take leave from my job now so that I can come back to it after my 6 month hitch.
Its all still up the air but if I do get the job I will be going. Its only a half year trip but hopefully it should be enough to make Salt Lake look a little better to me than it does now. And I hear the northern lights alone are worth the trip.
