Holiday prep

The turkey I ordered from the local farm was the smallest free-range bird they'd managed to grow this year--15.47# and well more than I'd been expecting. It's been in the oven, stuffed with French bread, local celery and onion, home-made chicken stock and home-grown sage, for the past two hours. Cranberry bread for us, and the cornbread became part of the stuffing. (Though I have to get hold of one of my sisters--the recipe I used today just wasn't as good as what Mom used to make, and I know Dawn has the recipe.)

Have just enjoyed a small piece of pumpkin pie, and A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving comes on at 8. :-)
