I'll check with my peer. She's done some fur-lined garnments in her day. I know that the weight of the fur can be a concern if you are doing a full lining.
That being said, off the top of my head she is always recommending older editions of the VOUGE sewing book (which can often be found in used bookstores. It has an orange cloth cover) It has a section on sewing fur and leather.
