Robert Jordan (1948-2007)
Robert Jordan passed away today.
I've never read his Wheel of Time books (I hear that the early ones are quite good), but I knew that he was diagnosed with a serious heart disease (cardiac amyloidosis) last year.
Jordan said that his median life expectancy was four years (in 2006), and that he expected to beat those odds (which I consider a very healthy attitude).
Anyway, I just wanted to pay my respects.
