Robert Anton Wilson's Illuminatus! Book Two
I finished Illuminatus! Book Two tonight.
Good stuff.
The series is riddled with all these parodies and puns. For example, there's a James Bond parody named "Fission Chips" (Agent 0005 of Her Majesty's Secret Service).
There's also a parody of Atlas Shrugged called "Telemachus Sneezed." Well, it's more of a combination of Atlas Shrugged and DW Griffith's Birth of a Nation.
I checked out James Ellroy's "The Cold Six Thousand" last night, so I've now started into that book.
Oh, and I understand that George RR Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series has been optioned by HBO for a tv series.
That could work. That could work nicely.
