No, you can't touch my wings.

Some otherkin are harassed for their beliefs.  Some are ostracized from family and friends.  I know one who was kicked out of a private school for their beliefs.  Some are like me.

But I still get annoyed by people for it from time to time.  Not sure why.

Now let me give a little background about myself.  I wear combat boots.  I'm 6'4" without them.  I may have a little extra weight, but I lift weights regularly too.  No small person.  And if you're anything near serious about spirituality, it's something you hold very close.  Something personal.  Even people who only pay lip service to a religion get defensive when you attack it.  When people trust you with their beliefs, they take a big step trusting that you won't ridicule them.  At least, when their beliefs aren't the majority.

So why do people seem to think it's a good idea to tease me when I tell them I believe to have been a dragon?

No, you shouldn't act like you're playing with my wings.  I know you can't feel them.  Even I only barely feel them.  Just enough to be uncomfortable when people are close behind me.  Just enough to feel the need to stretch them.  I can't, of course.  But I want to.  Yes, if you start to tease and make fun of me for my beliefs, I will get defensive.  No, you're not louder than me.  Yes I have read your Bible.  No, that's not what the Word is.  The Word today is "Go away."

Oh, that's two words, you're right.

Lets try "Run" instead.  Put some exclamation marks after it.  See if you get the Message.
