I am Not voting for Barack Obama because I am jumping on a bandwagon. I know you are having a hard time understanding why a large amount of Americans are backing a person with "No experience in the executive role". Maybe you are answering your own question.
Experience in Washington is part of the problem, there are people in Washington that have no clue of the outside world and what's going on around them. The jokes were made at the Republican Convention about being a Community Organizer, but a community organizer is a person that is out trying to help their community. It's something that I used to do, It's a noble profession, It's something that gets you out into the community and gives you a clue what is going on in the real world.
I will admit, when this process started way back when, Al Gore was my first choice, then he chose not to run, John Edwards was my second choice until he dropped out of the race.
I know some of you in the media can't understand that people will read something other than what you are putting out there, but we do, I read position papers, I investigate who I am going to vote for. I am sure that the majority of Americans research who they're voting for.
So Please, try not to categorize Americans as Bandwagoners, it is far from the truth.
