back2back concerts boyeeeeee!! The original blues boy bb king put on one hell of a show at the keswick wednesday nite, and so did Johnny A, his opening act. that was the first concert i ever went to where you had to sit down the whole time! i didnt even know what to do with myself, i wanted to keep getting up and dancing but i prolly wouldve looked like a jackass with everyone else sitting down. i didnt think anything could get any better until the NEXT nite when i went down to the world cafe to see GEORGE CLINTON AND THE P FUNKKK!!!! it was the most pimptastic, half-ass crazy, buck wild event of the year! im gonna see them every time they come to philly from now on and gus will join me. god its so incredible how guys like bb and george clinton who are in their golden years can still get down like theyre my age, its a real inspiration. there was this one part of the show when george was just standing up on the stage reciting this monologue about the war on drugs and i just looked at hiom with my mouth wide open. i wish i could have written that down or something because it was truly a work of art. the man is such a musical genius and so is the entire parliament funkadelic. oooh baby.
