MUCH better than I was the other day, thanks for the concern.

The movie "Bobby" is fairly amazing, and not just in that Bobby Kennedy was the last Democrat I really liked until, mmm, about the time Joe Lieberman showed the world his considerable backbone - that is to say, last summer. The movie is a terrific snapshot of history, even if Elijah Wood is not up to his usual standards of gorgeousness. Is there a clause in his contract that says that he has to make a marriage of convenience at a terribly young age in every movie he shoots? Okay, so the actual tally of movies fitting this description is 2. But a pattern is clearly emerging. Keep your eye on the curly-headed kid.

In 24 hours I'm on the road to D.C. for the second time in less than a month. College Republicans is going to the 34th Annual Conservative Political Action Conference. It's kind of a big deal. Rudy Giuliani is speaking at noon on Friday, and I'll be there. Actually, everyone who's running for the Republican nomination is 2008 (except for John McCain, who is a good man but who has written some unbelievably crappy legislation, and who apparantly just didn't want to come) is speaking sometime during the convention. I'll try to blog and/or post some of the kerjillion photos I expect to take. Can't even begin to describe how excited I am to descend on D.C. with 4000 people who actually don't think I'm crazy. Also, J.T. and I are going to take the train over to Arlington National Cemetery during a dull point in the agenda sometime. My dad's old wing commander from Da Nang is buried there and I want to leave him a rose.

Also, hey, you: "Here's to hoping I walk away unscathed...."
