Still working on the freelance project as much as I can stand too, but I haven't forgotten this yet.
Knowing that these unknown assailants are closing in, Cheri begins digging even more diligently into the contents of the mansion and discovers that two of the relics are hidden there.
Step 4 : Part3) The night after discovering her Aunt's journal, Cheri and John are awoken by someone breaking into the house. The two of them drive off the potential burglars, but one of the thieves uses a relic to escape with Ezra's journal. It is during this scuffle that Cheri discover's that one of the keys on the keyring is also a relic when it saves her life. Calming down after the excitement, John and Cheri decide that it is time to open the locked basement door. In the surprisingly empty basement they find a painting of the Virgin Mary in an ornate brass frame. John is partially drawn through the painting, but is saved by Cheri and the key. Retreating from and locking the basement back, the two make plans to leave the house with the relics and attempt to track down some of Ezra's old contacts in the Lockheart foundation.
