EVO, Wheel of Fortune
As predicted I got my ass kicked at evo, but I did pick up some new moves, so to speak. The competition was something fierce. We had Justin Wong and Daigo Umehara going at it for the upmteenth time and still, we get the same results. I got to kick it with my dad for the trip, at least for a little bit. He was there for work reasons (he was doing security for the Wheel of Fortune shoot) so I did not get to spend too much time with him. WoF gave him a nice very suite at the Venetian for free and that is where I stayed... Pretty freakin' swaky. Anyways, he was working the graveyard shift over there so he was able to give me a back stage tour at about 4 AM in the morning. I did not realize how much was involved with shooting a game show on location... but damn, was a lot of shit to pack. Heh. The next day he got me a seat in the 2nd row, center. Very good spot. Watched the two shows and then headed out. Anyways, I am glad went, even though I left down about 300 bucks. It's all in good fun, right? ...Right?
