So I'm in Erie. Boy has it been one busy, crazy week. lol. I don't want to start out my Erie life in the negative, so I'll start with all the good things that happened.

We got here last Thursday, and were able to get all my big furniture, (bed, couch, and dining table) all in the first day. It was all delivered by Saturday, so we checked out of the hotel and moved in that day. It basically took me n my mom 3-4 days of shopping to completely furnish and equip my apartment with things. lol.
I got a good deal on a tv. I found a 26'' for $400, which was the cheapest I could find. And they were all out, so they told us to come back that night. I called in the evening, they said they had 2 coming in, and they would set one aside for me. So I went in at 10 as they requested, and apparently they sold my tv to someone else! So the guy said he'd do his best to get my one of the same price for a good price. So I asked how much I could get the 32'' in the same brand for. And he gave it to me for $400. =) It was nice. lol. So now I have a pretty tv. I'm very excited about that.
I went to LECOM for the first time a few days ago. I had to get my picture taken for my ID card. It was really nice. I also found out our classes won't be in the main building, but in a new building called Bayfront. It's right on the lake. It's really nice and surrounded by a lot of trees. It's pretty. I'm definitely looking forward to classes starting next week.

So now that the good stuff is out, I can talk about the craziness of my move. lol. First, my flight leaving Palm Springs was delayed. Not sure why, but it was. So I knew we had a short stop over in Phoenix, and I asked if we'd be okay. And the guy said yea. So we land in Phoenix with 15 minutes left before our next flight is supposed to depart. By the time we are off the plane, and at the gate, it's the exact time of departure. The plane is still there, but they won't let us on. Apparently they give your seats away, even if it's the airline's fault that you weren't on time. So needless to say, my mom and I are super pissed. So after having two rude customer service agents, we are rebooked to Philly on a later flight, where we will have to stay the night there, and catch a flight to Erie the next morning. Now this means that we are staying the night in Philly, without any clothes or toothbrush or anything other than what we are wearing. It was sooo ridiculous. I still don't understand how we aren't allowed on the flight, but our luggage is. Way lame. So we arrive in Philly, go to customer service as we were instructed to do so, and again we get attitude. Apparently she thought she was the queen of US Airways, bc Philly is the hub, so after about 15 minutes of trying to suck up to her, she finally gave us the voucher for a hotel as they told us they would in phoenix. Then she informs us that I'm not confirmed for the flight to Erie, but my mom is. So she confirms me. It was the most ridiculous thing ever. So then we go to the airport the next morning SUPER early. Just to make sure we make it there in time and stuff. And of course, the flight is delayed. which wasn't a huge deal because we didn't have any connections and stuff, but we were just so tired at this point we just wanted to make it here.
So next thing to go wrong is my car. It arrived Monday evening. I met the transport guy at a parking lot, everything seemed to look okay. I get home, and notice a burning rubber smell. And see that my right headlight is popped out of the socket. I call the guy immediately to tell him, he says he'll call me later on to check the car out. So he doesn't call.
The next morning I call the dealership, tell them what's going on, a lady answers and tells me to bring it in. So I get there, and a guy checks the car in, n tells me he smells the smell. So I get a call a few hours later saying that my car is fine. I said, can someone please drive it and see if that smell comes. And he says, 2 people already have and it's fine. They ran all the required tests etc. and everything checks out. So when i get up there, I drive the car with the mechanic. We get back, I smell the smell, and he doesn't. My mom can smell it, I can smell it, and these guys are all saying they don't smell anything. So they are blowing us off completely. The mechanic even says that he can 'smell dirty diapers a mile away, and i can smell your perfume, but i don't smell burning rubber.' So the guy makes me sign a receipt that says there was no work needed. I wrote on there that I do not agree and signed it. My mom says, so are you going to take responsibility if something happens? and he says, no, because the car is fine. And we leave. I was so angry, that I didn't even realize we left the rental car there. So we have to turn around n go get it. When we get back there, my mom goes and asks to speak to the manager. Then the guy says to the other guy, put the car up, i'll look at it myself. he calls us in 5 minutes, and tells us to come over to look at the car. Apparently the core support, a giant thick piece of plastic on the bottom of the car is torn off. And he can see a bunch of other things that are wrong. So now he's apoligising to us and stuff. ANd I was like, yeah you blew us off because we're women. ANd he says, yeah my wife yells at me about that all the time. ass.
anyway, i end up taking it to my neighbor's guy, and he looked at it for me yesterday. Gave me an estimate of about $2000. So I submitted that to the transport company, who is submitting it to the trucking company, who will submit it to their insurance. lol. So somewhere along the way it will come back to me. I dunno how long this will take, but they better pay for my rental until then!

Well, im kind of getting tired. So i think im gonna eat some ice cream and then sleep in a bit. lol. My first night alone in my new apartment. eek. lol. im sure ill be fine. im a strong girl.

here's a lil something i picked up while watching sex and the city tonight....
