I took a shit at school, looked at the walls and imagined my philosophy teacher's joke of seeing
"God is Dead" - Nietzche
followed by
"Nietzche is Dead" - God
inscribed above the toilet paper.
5 minutes later, i was sitting outside when two men approached me.
"Hi, do you have a minute? We'd like to talk to you about your thoughts on life."
Intriguing question, though I knew how this conversation would go from start to finish. Word for word.
"Existence is ultimately meaningless," I replied.
...15 minutes of mostly one of the guys telling me various teachings of the bible with me occassionally interjecting about contradictions...
I kept asking about what happens after the supposed Final Judgement.
They both tap danced out of answering that.
"...Let Jesus heal you..."
"I don't feel I have anything to be saved from."
It got down to him saying, "After the final judgement, God will proclaim his kingdom here on Earth, and the marriage between man and God will be complete." To which i said, "And so? Correct me if I'm not getting what you're saying, but basically, we die, we get judged by God whose standards are nebulous yet all powerful, we get married with God, go on a honeymoon, and life happily ever after???
...So it's ultimately meaningless."
