Documentary

Watched a documentary called "Snuff: A Documentary about Killing on Camera" over the weekend. To be clear the documentary has law-enforcement folks and directors from Hollywood, film enthusiasts and so forth. Though the documentary explained a lot and no one interviewed had a high opinion of the genre of film. It really messed with my head, though the film referenced movies like "Faces of Death" and other films that were obviously fake, it also spoke of films out there that are easily disturbing to watch and equally if not more horrific. It is a real eye opener to watch this, but I warn it's not for the faint of heart. There were times I could not look at the screen and I enjoy my horror films. The documentary is filmed very well and the stark use of black and white is well done, but you walk away from the movie with a feeling of vulnerability. In addition it disgusts me to think there are sick people out there that not only produce the real thing but that there's actually a market out there of consumers that want to buy these films. It really messed with my head. If you are interested in seeing it.

It's available on Netflix.
