3rd Party

So I can't get my hands on a WET54G.

So I've been toying with the idea of using a 3rd party firmware known as DD-WRT. From what I'm reading it seems to have the settings I need to get my new router connected to the older G router. The only thing is I'll need to have the same firmware on both routers.

On the other hand I understand that for about $10 less what I paid for this router I could get a DLink that has the bridging firmware already built in. Of course though I'll likely have to buy 2 of those routers so in the long run spending $30 - $40 more than I have already.

Thoughts?
