How Quickly We Forget

Oct 24, 2003 21:00

I have taken notice to the fact that from what they show me everyone I come in contact with has a memory span of about a day. People are quick to stick their hand out for help, when they are laid out flat on their back. And they all expect help from somebody, and if you don't give it to them their memory suddenly works and they carry a life long grudge. That is a load of crap, because when you do help somebody about 95 percent of the time they have forgotten by the time you need somebody's help. thus, you are stuck helpless by yourself. And I will be the first to say I am a very cruel and ruthless person most of the time, but if I think someone needs it I will usually help them. Just because noone else will. And for the five minutes afterwards, I'll tell you what they will ride or die for you. But come time for the favor to be returned they are nowhere to be found. Maybe it's my fault for half way expecting something in return. But it's not so much that I just hope fopr the same thing that I gave them nothing more nothing less. But most of the time you don't get shit. Help yourself and your true friends. Hell, if everyone worried completely about themselves then we would all steer clear of each other.
