The Necromancer
Chapter one
Devon turned over in his dimly lit tent. His mind drifting over the events that had brought him to where he now was. he had nver known Balragas' information to be false but for the spirit key to have been called back into the realm of the living, that was almost to much for Devon. Not to mention the demoness, or at least the reports of one. Devon could easily believe a conjurers experiment going horribly wrong when summoning an unstable chimaria who ripped its master to into shreads and then going on a bloody rampage before the beasts body was sent back to the astral realm from which it was conjured. The ensuing uproar would easily strike the fear of demons back into the locals of the area.
He touched the the clear bright stone that lit the tent, the light eminating from it slowly faded and the tent went dark. Only the moonlight shining through the flap remained, casting a pale blue glow on his blankets and other items that littered the inside of the tent. Devon turned over again, perhaps some sleep would help clear his jumbled thoughts. He tossed again, for some reason he could not find a comfortable position. This was likely due to the fact that his mind refused to stop buzzing with unanswered questions, that and possiblilty that a demoness had come into the realm of the living. He arched his back, his mind still flooded. A Demoness could bring more demons into the realm of the living , in fact the idea that a demon had come into the realm of the living was cause enough for worry. If one had somehow managed to passthrough the gate, there was no telling how many others may have escaped.
Devon writed around in his blanket for a short while longer before finding a comfortable position, facing his discared armor. The deeply etched runes that covered the chest and shoulder plates glinted in the moonlight and cast a faint glimer onto the folds of the tent. The armor never failed to remind Devon of his father, as it was one of the few things he left behind. "Father" he whispered to the shadows, a pang of sorrow overcoming him as his mind drifted back to the day when he first heard the news.
It was back at the mage school, and Devon was attempting an inpaticularly difficult tranzumation. He would need absolute concentration if he was to turn his block of iron into an evergreen. He bit his lip and pressed his hands up against the metal, begining to pour his power into it. His friend John who was next to him gave him a nudge. "Hey Devon" he whispered "Take a gander" he motioned for Devon to look at Sara who was working directly infront of him. Unwittingly he looked forward and saw Sara who had managed to clip the hem of her robes on one of the boughs of her project. She didn't seem to notice as the evergreen rose twords the high cieling, slowly lifting her robes up with it. Devon could not help but be transfixed as Sara's bottom was exposed. He could not stop his mind from imagining what might be under the white lace undergarments she wore as well as the rest of her clothes. She finaly felt the slow rising of her robes and quickly pulled them down spinning around. Devon quickly averted his eyes, as to make it seem as if he wasn't looking. Sara's eyes went wide when she turned, seeing what was directly behind her. At first Devon thought that he had been caught. It was then that Devon noticed that his hands were still placed upon the metal, and that he had not stopped the flow of power into the block of iron. He looked up at his creation, to his horror he realized what he had done. The image in his mind had taken shape in the metal as he poured his power into it. Before him now stood Sara's naked figure, encased in an iron statue for all to see. It did not take long for the entire class to notice the statue as chuckles of laughter began to burst from all corners of the room.
Its late now- more to come on chapter one gnight alls
