Stolen truck contained wheelchair, car seat for special needs boy LYNNWOOD, Wash. - His family calls him their amazing boy. Christopher Wells is blind, and at 5 years old, he only knows one word - Mama.
"Christopher has pretty severe celebral palsy, he doesn't walk, talk or feed himself. He crawls, though, and he's blind," says his mom, Christina.
Christina is a single mom. Her days are filled with caring for her 3-year-old daughter and taking Christopher to school and physical therapy appointments. Today however, her life is at a standstill after someone stole her truck.
"There's so many things I need to be taking care of and this wasn't part of the plan," she said.
Sunday someone stole her red 1994 GMC Jimmy truck outside of her apartment in Lynnwood. Inside was a $3000 wheelchair and a special orthopedic car seat for Christopher.
"We don't have $5 at the end of the month let alone $5000 to try to replace a vehicle or his equipment," said Christina.
Christine just wants the truck returned, no questions asked.
"Drop it off in a parking lot, park it and walk away. Leave the stuff in it, just walk away," she said.
The stolen vehicle is a red 1994 GMC Jimmy with a Washington license plate 908 VSU. Inside was a blue Convair wheelchair with two car seats and a handicapped placard.
There is also a fund set up for Christopher at Union Bank under the name Christopher Wells.
I hope the thing that did this has his or her crotch get infested with the fleas of a thousand camels and his arms grow too short to scratch. /rage
