I love how that if she had made claims that he'd abused her without evidence, everyone would have called her a liar.

Yeah, one of the local radio hosts totally tried to blame his outburst on a midlife crisis and thought it would be damaging to the kid later in life.

Because you know, a midlife crisis is totes an excuse for abuse.

It will be damaging to the kid, because she has Mel Gibson as a father. I feel horrible for her - some of the things he's said involve her and are just awful.

And I was thinking just now that this doesn't make it absolutely clear that the fact that this guy hit her mother in the face and verbally abused her was horrific and would hurt her, but I can all too easily imagine kids throwing the stuff about her in her face when she gets older.

I am ashamed to share a nationality with them, but I am awesome and as are many other Australians. I hope that these events will make the public turn against him, but he's a celebrity so of course they won't.
