"The one who is being disrespected right now is I, because I'm the one who's being abused," he told The Dallas Morning News.

Oh, he'll be abused when he gets jail time and they find out what he's in for.

How the hell can this motherfucker sleep at night?

Oh FFS, like anyone is going to believe that shit.

I hope those poor kids can recover from this...that's just so tragic.

In an interview from jail, Alfred Santiago said he did nothing wrong and he considers himself the victim. He said the three children were a danger to his daughter and accused them of pouring urine on the baby.

There was a pretty famous case here in Brooklyn in which a little girl died after months and months of abuse at the hands of her mother and stepfather, and they tried to use the same defense, that she was "bad" and "a danger" to the other kids in the house. Thankfully, it didn't work, and I doubt it will work this time. You're not going to find many juries who will agree that the proper way to discipline children, for whatever you claim they did wrong, is by beating and starving them. I think the thing that bothers me most though, with those defense claims, is that it's usually a lawyer who suggests them, usually because they know they don't have a case otherwise. Those are the people that I really wonder about.

Having grown up in Texas, not far from where this occurred.. I can vouch that a Texas jury, it f they can find a way, will try to string this dude up.
