(no subject)
Sadly, the trunk was gone. This means I am on the look out for a relatively shallow trunk. Ideally, it would fit under my bed. But I'm not sure I can find another one that shallow. I have other places I could feasibly put a trunk though so it's not that big of a deal.
I finally hung curtains in my bedroom at least. They're a very pretty wine color. Right now, I have the two middle ones hung backwards so that it's wine on the outside and black on the inside. I may change it. I'm not sure yet. Unfortunately, they are thin enough to let sunlight in during the day. I kept the sheet hung up to help block out light.
I've also moved my bed. There is much rearranging to be done. I'm working on painting my dresser. You know the one I bought a year or two ago because it was hideously ugly and I loved it? All blue gray with lime green accents. Now it will be black with red accents. It might as well match the rest of the decor of my room.
My bed has a pretty sconce to each side (and I have two more that I haven't decided exactly where I'm going to put yet. I also purchased two small canvases to paint in order to hang above my bed. Right at the moment, they're black. But I have a basic design that includes blue, red, and possibly yellow that I'm thinking I'll do for them.
My apartment will eventually become my home. :)
