A boy with long black hair,
he wears army jackets
and
listens to his ipod on the bus.
It was back in may,
when you started working
at the elementary school,
showing children how to paint
with brushes, not thumbs.
Everyday,
you come home from work on the 18A,
paint-splattered, jeans worn in the crotch and knees.
And everyday,
he has his sketchbook and guitar case, strewn across
his 13B seat.
He is...
beautiful in that
girly
sort of way,
and you wonder whats
playing in his ears today.
What kind of guitar does he have?
A Fender or Pearl,
who inspires musical notes?
Neil Young, Lennon?
Neal or Leandra?
Sonia Dada.
You could make an off hand comment,
compliment
one of the many
left wing stickers on his case,
or remark on the shading on the trees he sketches.
But conversation
may
crush your fabrications of
personality, history, musical affinity's
and
guitar solos.
