Heating pads, pain pills, pudding, and juice . . . .
Today has not been much fun. I was unable to sleep in as I had hoped because the pain was unbearable. I got up at 9:30, took care of Drew, and then soaked in the jacuzzi bathtub for an hour. That was so nice! The fact that I have come down with a cold on top of trying to recover from the removal of my wisdom teeth has not been a nice one. The hot bath this morning did help to clear my chest out a bit though. One thing I must say is that as good as they make you feel afterwards, saltwater rinses SUCK! blegh!
I spent the majority of the day in bed with the heating pad on my face. I tried to watch "STIR OF ECHOES", with sweet sweet Kevin Bacon, twice. Both times I lasted through the the first 5-10 minutes, drifted off, and then woke up as the credit were rolling. Can't complain though. I'd like to sleep through as much of this as possible. I think Drew definately knows that his mommy is not feeling well. Everywhere I went today, he made sure he was right by my side and touching me.
Apollo18 stopped over for a bit which was nice. She only stayed for a little while, but just having someone else here, even for a short while, was really nice. Tomorrow apollo18, Devon, and possibly Fatur will be here. I hope no one is expecting anything extravagant. I can guarantee that I will be in pj's all day. Well actually, I have to go to an 11:30 follow-up with the oral surgeon and then I will be right back home and into pj's.
*CONFESSION* you are not "supposed" to smoke for the first 24 hours after surgery because it is hard to pucker your lips as needed to hold the cigarette. i tried to do so anyways and the pain was unbearable. i'll be damned if i was going to throw it out. as ashamed as i may be to admit this, i smoked the damn thing through my nostril! that's right......i was that desperate for a smoke :-/
