Good and Bad News
Good news is, Tuesday we saw the midwife at the local clinic. I got my waaaaay overdue check-up and they found at least one heartbeat. It was very, very strong. I thought I was going to cry and my husband teared up too. It was so precious. The midwife actually treated me with respect and not like I was stupid. That's a big plus.
The bad news is with it being a local health clinic, in fact any doctor's office at all, I got sick with the flu. Stupid me drank from the water fountain in the lobby (because I had gone to the bathroom and I knew they'd have me do a 'sample' for them when I got into the office so I had to drink something) because there are several signs that are posted "No food or drink in the lobbies." It's not like most of the people there cared about it and they were printed in English so...

Again I'm going to start taking my own drink. I'm pregnant, I can do it. I do not want to go through this again.
